Messaging/Browser
Google Talk
Google Talk is an online instant message service provided by Google.
You can enjoy chat with Google members by using Google Talk on your
FOMA terminal.
To use Google Talk, you must set a Google account on your FOMA
terminal. If a Google account is not yet set, follow the on-screen
instructions that are displayed when Google Talk is activated for the
first time.

The Friends list is displayed.
Adding new members

In the Friends list,

"Add friend"

Enter the Google account of the member you want
to add

Tap "Send invitation"
Note
Invitations waiting to be replied to are displayed on the Friends list
by
mM
"Invites". If you accept or reject a party you received an
invitation from, that party will be deleted from the list of invitations
waiting to be
replied to.
Accepting an invitation

In the Friends list, tap "Chat invitation"

Tap "Accept"
Setting online status

Tap at the top right of the Friends list

Select the online status you want to set
If necessary, enter a status message in the "Status message"
field. Status messages you have entered are displayed as custom
messages the next time you select online status.
Note
If you stop chatting midway for a while, the status icon sometimes
changes to a clock mark. This mark is no longer indicated if both
parts
resume chat.
Starting chat

In the Friends list, tap the name of a friend you want
to chat with
The chat screen is displayed.

Enter the message in the "Type to compose" field
To enter a pictogram,

"Insert smiley"
select a
pictogram.

Tap "Send"
Switching between active chats
You can switch between chats when two or more chats are active.

In the chat screen,

Select a member you want to chat with

Set chat to off record
Chat messages are saved to the "Chat" label in Gmail. However, saving
can be disabled by setting chat to off record.

In the chat screen,

"Chat off record"
All messages from here on will be off record.
Note
To cancel off record,
mM
"Chat on record" in the chat screen.
Ending chat

In the chat screen,

"End chat"
Managing members
Members in the Friends list are displayed by online status (online, busy
and offline).
Depending on your settings, priority is sometimes given to only
members with a frequent email or chat history in the displayed Friends
list. To display all currently registered members, in the Friends list
M
"All friends".
Note
To return the display to only members with a frequent email or chat
history,
mM
"Most popular" in the Friends list.
Blocking members
You can block reception of messages sent from specific members.

In the Friends list, tap the name of the member you
want to block for one second or more

Tap "Block friend"
The blocked member is deleted from the Friends list.
Note
To unblock, in the Friends list,
mM
"Blocked"
select the member
to unblock
"OK".
Displaying member information

In the Friends list, tap the name of the member
whose information you want to display for one
second or more
To display all members,
M
"All friends".

Tap "Friend info"
If you enter a nickname, the nickname will be displayed in the
Friends list.

When you have finished checking, tap "Done"
