Settings
Connecting to a VPN (Virtual Private Network)
VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology for accessing information
in a protected local network, such as that in a company or a university,
from the outside. To set a VPN connection from your FOMA terminal,
obtain security information from your network administrator.
Adding VPNs

Tap the type of VPN you want to add

Follow the network administrator's instructions and
set each of the VPN setting items

The new VPN is added to the list in the VPN setting screen.
Connecting to a VPN

The newly added VPN is displayed in the list in the VPN setting
screen.

Tap the VPN you want to connect to

Enter the required authentication information, and
tap "Connect"
When the connection to the VPN is made, the notification icon will
be displayed on the status bar.
Disconnecting a VPN

Tap the notification indicating the current VPN
connection to disconnect it

When the VPN is disconnected, the notification on the status bar
is grayed out. The connection can be enabled again by opening
the notification panel and tapping the notification.

Setting the Manner mode
When the Manner mode is set, tones emitted from your FOMA terminal,
such as call and mail ringtones or alarm tones and the sound of media
playback sound, can be muted.

The focus lock sound or shutter sound in camera photography and
the recording start and end sounds in video photography sound
even when the manner mode is set.

Select the item
Manner mode No sound is emitted from your FOMA terminal, and
incoming calls and alarms are notified by vibration.
Manner
mode(Silent)
No sound is emitted and vibration is turned off.
Manner
mode(Alarm)
This is the same as the regular Manner mode
except that the alarm volume and vibration follow
the alarm setting (P. 111).
Original manner Volume and vibration can be set for each type of
sound.

Adjusting the volume
You can adjust the volume of ringtones, alarm tones and the media
playback sound.

"Use incoming call volume for notifications" checkbox.
