Call/Network Services
Call Forwarding Service
Call Forwarding Service is for forwarding calls to a designated phone
number when your FOMA terminal is outside the service area, is turned
off, or cannot be answered within the set ring time.
●
If a call is not answered when Voice Mail Service is activated, the call
is saved as a missed call in the Incoming History and
is displayed
on the status bar.
Basic flow of Call Forwarding Service
Register the telephone number of the forwarding
destination
Activate the Call Forwarding Service
Your FOMA terminal will receive a voice call
The call is automatically forwarded to the designated
destination if it is not answered

Fees are charged to the caller. Fees are charged to the Call
Forwarding Service subscriber.

Even if the Call Forwarding Service is activated, you can make
calls if you answer an incoming call while the ringtone is sounding.
Setting the Call Forwarding Service

Select the item you want to use
Activate Call
Forwarding
Enter the telephone number of the forwarding
destination and the ring time (0 to 120
seconds). (Contacts can be called up by
tapping
.) Tap "OK" to activate the Call
Forwarding Service.
When the ring time is set to 0 seconds, a
record of the incoming call is not left in the
incoming call history, and the caller is
forwarded directly to the forwarding
destination.
Deactivate Call
Forwarding
Select "OK" to deactivate the Call Forwarding
Service.
Register number Changes the telephone number of the
forwarding destination. (Contacts can
be
called up by tapping
.) Tap "OK" to reflect
the changes you have made.
If FWD number

When "Connect" is selected, the incoming call
is connected to the Voice Mail Service Center
if the forwarding destination is busy.
Check Call
Forwarding setting
Checks the current settings.

You can set whether or not to play the voice guidance informing the
caller that the call will be forwarded.

Caller ID Notification Service
You can display your telephone number on the other party's telephone
when you make a voice call.
●
Your telephone number is important personal information. So, take
care when notifying people about it.

Select the item you want to use
Check setting Checks the current settings.
Activate/Deactivate Tap "Notify" to set caller ID notification.

If you hear a message asking you to notify the caller ID, enable
caller ID notification or add "186" and call again.

Displaying or hiding of the caller ID can be specified each time that
a call is made (P. 42). Setting to specify notification for each
individual call is given pr
iority over the caller ID notification setting.
Setting the Public mode (drive mode)
The Public mode (drive mode) is an automatic answering service used
to ensure good manners in public places. Set the Public mode (drive
mode) to play a message for the caller stating that you are unable to
answer the call since you are currently driving or you must refrain from
speaking (in a train, bus, cinema, etc.), and that the call will be
disconnected.

This mode can be set or canceled even if you are outside the service
area or out of signal range.
●
You can make calls from your FOMA terminal even if the Public mode
(drive mode) is set.

When the Public mode (drive mode) is set
The ringtone does not sound even if you have an incoming call on your
FOMA terminal. Incoming calls are recorded as missed calls in the
incoming call history.

A message is played for the caller stating that you are currently
driving or are in a place where you must refrain from using a mobile
phone, and the call is disconnected.
●
Ringtones for email or alarms do not sound.
●
When your FOMA terminal is not turned on, the Public mode (drive
mode) message is not played, and the caller will hear the same
message as that played when you are outside the service area.
