Yourmobilephoneisaradiotransceiver,designedand
manufacturednottoexceedtheSAR*limits**forexposureto
radiofrequency(RF)energy,whichSAR*value,whentestedfor
complianceagainstthestandardwas0.54W/kgforHEAD,
0.459W/kgforBODY.Whiletheremaybedifferences
betweentheSAR*levelsofvariousphonesandatvarious
positions,theyallmeet***theEUrequirementsforRF
exposure.
*Theexposurestandardformobilephonesemploysaunitof
measurementknownastheSpecificAbsorptionRate,orSAR.
**TheSARlimitformobilephonesusedbythepublicis2.0
watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of tissue,
recommendedbyTheCounciloftheEuropeanUnion.Thelimit
incorporatesasubstantialmarginofsafetytogiveadditional
protectionforthepublicandto accountforanyvariationsin
measurements.
*** Tests for SAR have been conducted using standard
operatingpositionswiththephonetransmittingatitshighest
certifiedpowerlevelinalltested frequencybands.Although
theSARisdeterminedatthehighestcertifiedpowerlevel,the
actual SAR level of the phone while operating can be well
below the maximum value. This is because the phone is
designedtooperateatmultiplepowerlevelssoastouseonly
thepowerrequiredtoreachthenetwork.Ingeneral,thecloser
youaretoabasestationantenna,thelowerthepoweroutput.
