Check Character Verification
A check character is optional for Interleaved 2 of 5 and can be added as the last character. It is a calculated value used to
verify the integrity of the data.
Disable: The scanner transmits Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes as is.
DoNotTransmitCheckCharacterAfterVerification:Thescannercheckstheintegrityofall Interleaved2of5barcodes to verify
that the data complies with the check character algorithm. Barcodes passing the check will be transmitted except the last
digit, whereas those failing it will not betransmitted.
TransmitCheckCharacterAfterVerification:ThescannercheckstheintegrityofallInterleaved2of5barcodestoverify that the
data complies with the check character algorithm. Barcodes passing the check will be transmitted, whereas those failing it
will not betransmitted.
Since Interleaved 2 of 5 must always have an even number of digits, a zero may need to be added as the first digit when
the check character is added. The check character is automatically generated when making Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes.
