Appendix C Installing the Optional Paper
Feeder
This feeder can be attached to the printer and allows the use of various
paper cassettes. Up to two feeders can be installed, with each being able
to hold 500 sheets of paper.
Caution:
• Before connecting the interface cable or installing any
options, be sure to turn the power switch of the printer off,
to prevent the danger of electric shock.
• This printer is very heavy. The weight of the main unit with-
out paper cassette, consumables, and paper is about
26kg. Never attempt to lift the printer by yourself. The
printer should always be lifted by two persons.
• To lift the printer, have two persons facing each other from
the front (with operation panel) and the rear of the printer.
Grasp the four bottom corners. Never try to lift the printer
while holding any part other than the bottom corners. Oth-
erwise there is a severe risk of injury if the printer is
dropped.
• When lifting the printer, correct posture is important to pre-
vent hip injuries.
