4. Re-insert the duplex printing unit into the printer, and then close the
rear cover.
Important: Make sure that the duplex printing unit is properly
seated. Otherwise print quality problems may occur.
5. Close the top cover.
Press the center part of the top cover until it locks securely.
Important: Make sure the top cover is properly locked. Otherwise
print quality problems may occur.
If you followed the procedure but still could not remove the jammed
paper, try the procedure for removing jammed paper for E2-1 mes-
sage.
6. Check the display and make sure the printer is ready for printing.
Important: Also if the paper jam was located only in the front paper
tray or the cassette, the error message does not disap-
pear unless the top cover is opened and closed again.
The next sheet that emerges from the printer after a
paper jam may be stained, but staining should disappear
after a few sheets.
