assembly Instructions

1. Installing oor boards: apply a
5-6mm thick stripe of glue on the
two indentations on the board.
2. Place the board on the oor
in the desired position, and press
down hard.
3. Carry on with this process with
the wall board(s). Make sure that
the two sets of boards are at a
90° angle.
4. Now apply adhesive to the
centre of the smooth back surfa-
ce of the board(s).
5. Carry on applying the adhesive
to the wall boards, only up to the
height of one brick (one row).
6. Place the rst glass brick on the
board; start at the wall. When
positioned correctly, the glass
brick should sink down a little.
Try to carefully pry the brick up a
little to make sure that the glue is
sticking.
7. Then apply glue to a short
board - as outlined above.
8. Vertically stick the board onto
the side of the glass brick and
make sure that you meet the exis-
ting long board below to avoid
sticking up into where the next
long board needs to sit.
9. Apply more adhesive to the
short board stuck to the glass
brick.
10. Carry on until you have rea-
ched the desired length of your
wall.
11. Once the rst row has been
installed, check the alignment.
You can adjust as necessary if the
glue hasn’t dried yet.
12. Now apply adhesive to the
centre of the smooth side of a
long board.
13. Place this board upside down
on the already installed row of
bricks. Press on the board a little
to make sure the glue will properly
stick onto the row of bricks below.
14. Install another row of glass
bricks as you did the rst. Keep
using a spirit level to check that
the glass bricks are level.
15. The weight of the glass bricks
means that the rst rows could
move a little. Keep checking and
adjusting often before the glue
dries.
16. We recommend waiting 12-
24 hours for the adhesive to dry
after installing approx. 4 to 5 rows
to avoid the bricks’ own weight
causing structural problems.
Always wait 24 hours before grou-
ting the nished wall.
17. Use a standard exible
grouting mortar and follow the
manufacturer’s instructions. Use a
rubber spatula or grouting board
to apply the grouting diagonally
towards the wall. The grouting
should cover any and all cavities.
18. Finally, use a suitable silicon
to cover the connecting joins
between the wall/oor and the
glass bricks.
19. If you didn’t use end bricks,
you can cover the connecting
ends of the wall with end boards.
Available from us in: matte alumi-
nium, white aluminium, brushed
stainless steel and polished stain-
less steel.
20. Your glass wall is now nished.
It will be completely dried and
hardened within 7 days.
You can send us pictures of your
nished project to kundenpro-
jekte@fuchsdesign.de. We can’t
wait to see what you do!
