QUICK-FIX
Installation instructions
PREPARATION
Before assembly, please check that the oor is at a
90 degree angle to the wall. If there is any deviation,
use a waterproof oor-levelling compound, taking
into account the manufacturer’s instructions regar-
ding drying times and application. You can then
place a loose glass brick onto a long board (without
adhesive).
Lay a short board down between the individual
glass blocks (again, without adhesive) to measure
the length of the nished wall. Shorten the board if
necessary, or lay a second board down if needed.
The long boards (95,5 cm) are suitable for exactly
ve 19x19 cm glass blocks or four 24x24 cm glass
blocks.
PLEASE NOTE
Please note that the bricks are made of glass, and
therefore should be handled with care. Avoid pla-
cing glass on glass, or using a hammer or other similar
tools on the bricks. Work slowly and carefully to ensu-
re you’ll be happy with the results!
If possible, glue the oor and wall boards down a
day before the glass bricks so you have a stable
base to work on. To make sure our special SRT 8
adhesive completely dries out, it should be ‘lightly
sprinkled’ with water. Hide any barcodes on clear
glass bricks by laying the bricks up to eye-height with
the barcode facing up (7 or 8 rows), and laying the
bricks above eye-height with the barcode facing
down. When installing corner elements and corner
bricks, you’ll have to cut the board with a mitred
corner. The same goes for installing half bricks.
The maximum allowable dimensions of a single-side
wall installed with QUICK-FIX is 200x200 cm or 180x220
cm (successful pendulum impact test in accordan-
ce with DIN 4103-1, certied by the Material Testing
Facility in Braunschweig).
