Assemble six slats (Item 7) to assembly
2.3 using M6 x 25 Thread Forming Screws
(Item 8).
For models with a rear antenna, the rear slat
must not be fitted.
TIP: Screws (Item 8) can be put in place
with M6 nuts (not supplied) to close holes if
needed.
Drop the interior roof liner. Place a bead of
silicone on the four nut plates (Item 13), and
secure the slimsport roof rack to the nut
assemblys as shown in step 2.6. This will
allow easy removal of the rack in the future.
Place silicone over the 8 holes drilled in 2.2.
Center the spacers (Item 12) over the holes
drilled in 2.2, followed by the rack assembly.
Place a bead of silicone on the threads
of the M6 x 50 Hex Bolts and secure the
Slimsport roof rack to the Nut Plates
inserted in 2.5 using M6 x 50 Hex Bolts, M6
Spring Washers & M6 x 19 x 1 Flat Washers
(Items 9, 10 & 11). Fully tighten.
Place M6 Nut Caps (Item 6) over all hex bolts.
NOTE: Do not fit the front slat yet.
Use a little oil on screw threads before
inserting. Note these are Thread forming
screws.
