The Com card is equipped with two RS 485 interfaces for data transmission
- Data communication input „IN“
- Data communication output „OUT“

Com cards provide the data link
from the Fronius IG or Fronius IG
Plus to the SolarNet and to the
associated DATCOM components.
For this reason, Com cards are
only available as plug-in cards.
One Com card is required for each
Fronius IG and Fronius IG Plus.
Com cards are equipped with an integrated power supply to provide po-
wer to DATCOM components. The integrated power supply of these Com
Cards is implemented via special contacts in the slot. These contacts
continue to supply power even when there is no power from the photovol-
taic modules. One Com card with an integrated power supply can supply
three additional DATCOM components or one additional DATCOM com-
ponent if it is located in a Datalogger Web.
