Slave Security
Setting Description
Description
Slave Security allows Slave radios to accept transmissions from a Master not
included in the Call Book.
l The default setting is 0 - Enabled.
l This allows only a Master listed in the Slave's Call Book to link to that
Slave.
l Set this parameter to 1 to disable Slave Security.
l This allows any Master to call the Slave.
l Slave Security has no effect in Point-to-Multipoint networks where the
Network ID is not set to 255.
l
when the LRS455A-C, LRS455A-CE,
Slave Security must be set to 1
LRS455-T is operating in:
l Mode 6 Slave/Master Switchable.
l a Point-to-Point network where the Slave needs to accept calls from more
than 10 different Masters.
l For more information, see Application Note #5476, Mode 6 (available at
support.freewave.com).
Registration is required to use this website.
l When Slave Security is set to 1, the radio accepts calls from any other
FreeWave radio.
l Additional network security measures can be taken to prevent unauthorized
access (e.g., changing default settings for FreqKey, Hop Table, or
Frequency Zones).
