To adjust the foot plaorm angle:
1.Turn the adjustment screw to raise or lower the front of the foot plaorm.
To adjust the foot plaorm height:
1. Loosen the adjustment screw on the pipe.(See gure 26).
2. Raise or lower the foot plaorm to the desired height.
3. Tighten the adjustment screw to secure the plaorm posion.
To adjust the foot plaorm distance:
1. Loosen the knob which is fastened on the pipe.(See gure 26).
2. Slide the foot plaorm in or out to the desired distance.
3. Tighten the knob to secure the foot plaorm.
POSITIONING BELT
Your power chair is equipped with a posioning belt that can be adjusted for operator comfort. (See
gure 27). The posioning belt is designed to support the operator so that person does not slide down
or forward in the seat. The posioning belt is not designed for use as a restraining device.
To adjust the posioning belt for operator comfort:
1. Once seated, inset the metal tab on one side of the belt into the plasc housing on the opposite side
unl you hear a click.
2. Pull the excess strap aached to the metal tab unl it is secure, but not so ght as to cause
discomfort.
To release the posioning belt:
1. Press the push buon mechanism on the plasc housing.
MANDATORY!
Make sure the posioning belt is properly secured to the power chair and is
adjusted for operator comfort before each use.

Inspect the posioning belt for loose or damaged
parts before each use of the power chair. If you
discover a problem, contact your authorized
agent for maintenance and repair.

BATTERIES AND C H A R G ING
BATTERIES AND CHARGING
Your 168-W is equipped with two maintenance free 50-volt baeries, deep-cycle baeries. Since they
are sealed, there is no need to check the electrolyte (uid) level. Deep-cycle baeries are designed to
handle a longer and deeper discharge. Though they are similar in appearance to automove baeries,
they are not interchangeable. Automove baeries are not designed to handle a long, deep discharge,
and also are unsafe for use in power chairs.
MANDATORY!
Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead
compounds. Wear goggles and gloves when handling baeries and wash hands aer handling.
PROHIBITED!
Always use two baeries of the exact same type, chemistry, and amp-hour (Ah)
capacity. Refer to the specicaons table in this manual and in the manual supplied with the baery
charger for recommended type and capacies.
WARNING!
Contact your Authorized Freerider Agent if you have any quesons regarding the
baeries in your power chair.
