LIGHTING
FUSE
A
fuse
protects
your
Richmond lighting
from
receiving
an
overload
of
electrical
cur
rent
The fuse used
in
the Richmond
is
the
same
type
wh ich is
found on
automobiles
In
the
unlik
ely event
that the
fuse
should
‘blow
’
and needs rep lacing
(Fig
38]
use
only
a
fuse
of
a
10amp
rating
Please
note this
size
of
fuse
has
been se lected
to
give
your
Scooter the
best
protection without
premature
blowing

Warning
:
Do

use fuses

The
10amp
fuse is
located under the Scooter’s
black
rubber
handle
bar cover
at
the
base
of
your
handle bars
(Fig
39]
The fuse is
positioned
in
a
blackplastic
housing
wh ich is
sealed
by
a
hinged
lid

o
r
access
to
the
fuse,
lift
the
black
rubber
handle
bar cover
,
lift
the
fus e
block
on
it’s
wire,
lift
up
the
fuse
lid
and
withdraw the
‘blown
’
fuse
(fig
39] R
eplace
the blown
fuse
with
recommended
10amp
(red]
fuse, close fuse
lid
and
replace fuse
block

WIRING CONNECTOR
The
rear
lights
mounted
to
your
Richmond body cover
are
connected
to
the
main
wiring loom
by
a
white
plug
and
sock
et
(F
ig
40).
T
o
remove
the rear
body cover
first
remove
your
seat. The cover
is
positioned
onto the
Scooter by
‘
velcr
o
®
’
type
fittings.
Simply
lift
up
the
cover
,
making
certain
you
are
clear
of the
seat
mounting
post.
Before
fully
lifting the
body cover unlatch
the
lighting
plug
and
sock
et
by
pushing
down on the
locking
latch., the
body cover
can
now
be
carefully
removed.
