Assemble Fence (Horizontal Board Installation):
1. On  rst post, insert the rail into the post
channel. The bottom of the rail should line up
with the mark made in Step 1 (70" from the top
of the post). Make sure the open pocket in the
rail is facing up. Attach bottom rail using two

post. (Fig. 11).
2. On second post, insert the opposite end of
the bottom rail into place, and attach using two

3. Snap adaptor strips into post channels on both
posts (Fig. 12).
4. Insert top rail into the post channels of both
posts. Make sure the open rail pocket in the rail
is facing down. Attach using two

screws at the small groove in the post. This is
to temporarily hold the assembly together while
a few boards are added (Fig. 13).
5. Begin inserting boards working up from the
bottom. The  rst board should  t tightly into
the bottom rail. Continue until you can no
longer insert boards at an angle (Fig. 14).
NOTE:
You may need to back out top screw in
order to fully nest the bottom board.
6. Remove top rail and slide in the remainder of
the boards, taking care not to spread the posts
outward.
7. Place top rail back onto panel. Make sure the
open pocket in the rail is facing down
(Fig. 15). Attach top rail using two

screws at the small groove in the post. Repeat
for opposite side.
8. Snap post cover (from post kit) into place by
holding cover approximately 6" from top of
post. Hook one side of the cover and push
down to snap the other side. Slide the cover
down the post to hide the screws (Fig. 16).
Repeat for other post.
9. Install post cap (from post kit) to top of post.
Use a soft rubber mallet, if necessary to obtain
a  rm  t (Fig. 17). Repeat for other post.
NOTE:
“Top” and “Bottom” rails are the same.
