All Gizmo wheelchairs leave the factory inspected and adjusted for immediate use, (aside from
the unfolding procedure). This troubleshooting chart offers some suggestions regarding the use of
your wheelchair. Some areas may require more investigation to find the most suitable solution for
a specific problem. A complete inspection, safety check and servicing should be made by an au-
thorized dealer at least once a year. Any Problems should be directed to your authorized dealer
or call our customer service department.
Symptoms Remedies
The wheelchair veers right Check that both casters contact the ground at the
same time.
Check that the tire pressure is correct and equal in
both rear wheels.
The wheelchair veers left Check that both casters contact the ground at the
same time.
Check that the tire pressure is correct and equal in
both rear wheels.
Sluggish turn or performance Check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
Check that the tire pressure is correct and equal in
rear wheels.
Caster Flutter Check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
Check that both casters contact the ground at the
same time.
Check for wear of casters.
Squeaks and rattles Check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
Looseness in the wheelchair Check that all nuts and bolts are tight.
Hub Lock will not
disengage
The most common issue with the hub lock is an inad-
vertent setting of the emergency override lever. Lever
should be in parallel position shown.
To disengage, lift cable lever, the emergency override
will drop to the disengaged position.
Troubleshooting
