If the ValueLoader experiences a severe mechanical problem or if
you need to remove cartridges because of power failure or other
circumstance in which the ValueLoader is unable to export the
cartridges in the carousel, follow these steps:
1 Move the power switch on the front panel to the OFF position.
You may need to use the tip of a pen or similar item to move
the power switch.

An exclamation point (!) displayed in the inventory means that
the ValueLoader has identified a cartridge in the indicated slot
that is either an invalid cartridge type or a cartridge with a
media-related error. The Media Attention LED is also
illuminated in this case. See LED Indicators
on page 24.
Exporting the indicated cartridge will clear the error condition.

If errors occur on multiple known good cartridges, consider
cleaning the tape drive. See Cleaning the Tape Drive
on
page 32.
If a particular cartridges fails repeatedly, it may be defective or
invalid.
The LCD displays an error
code.
Look up the error code, and try to resolve the failure. Then,
power cycle the ValueLoader.
Note:
Contact Customer Support if a cartridge is stuck in the
drive.
