All you need is a computer with high-speed internet connection and a USB port to get you started to answer and receive Skype calls, or SkypeOut by using the numeric keypad to dial phone numbers. Additional features built into Freecom Internet Phone are ring tones, volume control, speed-dial, hold, and redial.

The only difference lies where that Freecom Internet Phone must be used in conjunction with computers via USB interface and VOIP software.
