Fredenstein ramDI The Fredenstein ramDI is a stand-alone instrument interface. It consists of a DI (Direct Input) and a Re-Amplication circuit. Both are isolated from XLR input and output to prevent ground loops. In normal operations, a instrument like a guitar or a keyboard, is connected to the DI TS input and an instrument amplifier to the AMP TS connector both connectors are located on the front-panel.

Chose the setting sounding the best. Direct Mon. : Connects the instrument directly to the instrument amplifier and disconnects the re-amplification circuit. The DI function is still available to record.
Fredenstein ramDI DI Function: Connect an instrument like a guitar or keyboard using a 1/4” standard instrument cable (TS, TIPSleeve). The input impedance is 2M Ohms to insure compatibility with most instrument pickups. The balanced output of the DI amplifier is located on the back-panel, a male XLR connector labeled DI Out. Please connect this output to an input of your audio interface or console. Now you are able to record the instrument through your audio interface or console.
