Working outside
If you want to use the Franzis metal detector to re-
cover lost objects outdoors, it will be most convenient to
attach the device to a probe handle (see page 59). Obviously,
the smaller the object, the more difficult it is to find it. Turn
the sensitivity control to the far right, so that the maximum
available time is used for an individual frequency measure-
ment. In order to successfully detect small objects, you
have to move the search coil slowly over the search area.
