Purchasing Foxit PDF Editor
Foxit PDF Editor provides two licensing models: perpetual licensing and subscription
licensing. The former allows users to use Foxit PDF Editor without expiration dates,
while the latter enables users to pay for a monthly/yearly usage fee, with full features
available for both.
To purchase Foxit PDF Editor, please do one of the following:
• Order online: go to Foxit website to order directly.
• Email: write an e-mail to the Foxit sales department at [e-mail] with your
order information.
• Click Help/Home > Purchase Now in the PDF Editor toolbar to purchase a license
from the Foxit online store.
For a subscription license, the licensee has the rights to manage the authorized
machines by signing in to their Foxit accounts to disable current activation(s).
(Note: Internet connection and Foxit account signed-in are required to use the full
features for subscribed users.)
Updating Foxit PDF Editor
Foxit PDF Editor along with its add-ons can be updated in several ways. Some updates
are available if you open a PDF document that triggers the updating process. For
example, if you open a file that is encrypted with the FileOpen software, Foxit PDF
Editor will ask if you want to download the FileOpen plugin. Other updates are
available from the Help tab, where you have to manually install them. However, all
updates can be downloaded directly from Foxit website. Foxit PDF Editor supports
auto-update checking. By default, with any update to the application or plugins
detected, Foxit PDF Editor will prompt users to update. You can change the default
preference setting for updating Foxit PDF Editor in File > Preferences > Updater.
Updating from the Help tab
You can check for updates yourself anytime by the following steps:
1. Choose Help > About Foxit PDF Editor > click Check for Update… in the pop-up
window.
2. In the pop-up dialog box, select updates from the column on the left, and then
click Download and Install.
