Application Whitelist Management
By default, Foxit PDF Editor will show a warning message when an application without
a valid digital signature attempts to open it. However, if you trust the application, you
can add it to the whitelist. Steps are as follow:
Choose File > Preferences > Trust Manager.
Click Change Settings in the Open Foxit PDF Editor from applications without
valid digital signatures group.
In the Allowed Apps field, specify the application you trusted, and click Allow. The
trusted applications will be listed in Apps group. If you want to remove it from the
list, please select it first, and then click Delete.
Click OK to confirm and apply the setting.
Run Script Right Control
Foxit PDF Editor allows users the rights to run script accordingly, and at the same time
making sure the software executes and secures PDF files. There are four levels for
users to choose: Disable JavaScript, Enable secured JavaScript, Enable JavaScript
secured and verified by DRM, and Enable all JavaScript.
To set the run script rights, please follow the steps below:
Choose File > Preferences > Trust Manager, and then set the rights as required:
To enable all JavaScript: Check Enable JavaScript Actions and uncheck Enable
Safe Reading Mode.
To disable all JavaScript: Uncheck Enable JavaScript Actions and check Enable
Safe Reading Mode.
To enable secured JavaScript: Check Enable JavaScript Actions and Enable Safe
Reading Mode.
To enable JavaScript verified by DRM:
Check Enable JavaScript Actions and Disable Safe Reading Mode for
Trusted Documents.
Click Advanced Preferences below to check both RMS Encryption and
Digital Signature Verification.
