recent folders listed in File > Open > Computer or cloud services that you have
signed in (e.g. SharePoint/Google Drive/Dropbox). The default setting is 10
folders.
Note: Foxit PDF Editor allows users to set “maximum number of documents in
history list”, “maximum number of documents in Recent Documents list”, and
the “number of unpinned Recent Folders” to 0.
Identity
Shows the identity of your application, including Login Name, Name, Title,
Organization Name, Organization Unit, and Email Address. The identify information is
quite useful in PDF reviews. It will help other review participants recognize your
comments easily. The Login Name is set by default (using the username of the current
operation system) and cannot be changed. Except for Login Name, you can change or
complete your identity information in Identify Preferences.
Index
Indexing
A. Enable embedded index: Select this option to enable the search with the
embedded index in the document.
B. Allow indexing on separate drives: For a full-text index, you can select this
option to allow defining a collection of PDF files you want to index from
different drives. See also Create a full-text index.
C. Force ISO 9660 compatibility on folders: As you prepare documents for
indexing, select it to use MS-DOS file-naming conventions for the folder names
which must include 8 characters or fewer, not more than one dot, and no
accented characters and non-English characters.
D. Enable logging: With this option selected, a log file is created automatically
when you create a full-text index. See also Create a full-text index. The log file
describes the processing for each file indexed and includes the information
about the indexed files and their directory paths, as well as any errors
occurring during the index building.
E. Allow Index batch files (.bxml) to be run: Select it to allow running the batch file
(.bxml) for the execution of the index updates scheduled in the scheduling
application such as Task Scheduler. See also Schedule index updates.
