or click Remove to delete them.
6. Click Save.
7. Name the action and input the description for the action in the dialog box. Then
click OK.
Run an action
After you create your action, you can run the action without opening any PDF file.
1. Click File > Action Wizard > Run Action and select an action.
2. A pane appears in the right of the application window, showing all the tasks in the
action.
3. (Optional) In addition to the files/folders specified in the action, you can add more
files/folders to be processed by clicking Add Files, Add Folder, or Add Open Files.
4. Click Start.
5. You may be prompted to provide information like the storage location. A check
mark will be added to each task after the task is completed.
6. (Optional) you can click Stop in the panel to stop processing the action. All tasks
that have been executed will be saved. Click Resume to continue the action. Or
click the Close button of the panel to exit the action.
7. After all tasks in the action are completed, the Done button will appear in the panel.
Tip: Foxit PDF Editor provides several predefined ready-to-use actions that include common
tasks like file distribution, PDF optimization, sensitive information protection, and
document archive.
Manage actions
Click File > Action Wizard > Manage Actions > Manage, and the Manage Actions
dialog box pops up and lists all the available actions. You can edit, rename, copy,
delete, reorder, or import/export actions in the Manage Actions dialog box.
In the Manage Actions dialog box, do any of the following:
Select the action you want to edit and click Edit. Click Save after the modification,
and then close the Manage Actions dialog box.
Select the action you want to rename and click Rename. Update the name and
the description for the action, and click OK. Then close the Manage Actions
dialog box.
Select the action you want to copy and click Copy. Type the name and the
description for the action, and then click OK. The new copy of the selected action
