3.14.2. Installing a K2V4 Card
Follow these steps to install an expander card:
1. 5HPRYHWKHGXPP\EUDFNHWIURPWKHEXWWHUÀ\EUDFNHW

2. Align the connector on card with the connector on the riser board.
3. Insert the expansion card in the riser board.

4. Once correctly seated, lock the expansion card in the bracket by rotating the locking lever to the
closed position.
5. Connect the SATA cable and UART cable to the card. See “Expander Assembly Cable Routing”
on page 43.
Install the expander assembly. See “Installing a K2V4 Expander Bracket” on page 45.
7. Replace the top cover on the server. See “Installing a Top Cover” on page 11.
