3.18.1. Removing a Heat Sink

Follow these steps to remove a heat sink:
1. Remove the top cover from the server. See “Removing a Top Cover” on page 10.
2. Loosen the eight screws in a sequential order.
3. Grasp the heat sink and lift it in tandem to avoid damaging the components or the heat pipes.
