3.8.2. Removing a System Fan
Follow these steps to remove a system fan:
1. Remove the top cover from the server. See “Removing a Top Cover” on page 10.
2. Disconnect the fan cables from the mainboard. See “Fan Cable Routing” on page 34.
3. Remove the fan.

4. Pull out the fan guard rivets located at the bottom of the fan module.
