3.7.5. Installing a 2.5” SATA SSD
Follow these steps to install a 2.5” SATA SSD:
1. 3RVLWLRQWKHUHDURIWKH66'ZLWKWKH66'KROGHUVHHWKHIROORZLQJ¿JXUH7KHVOLWVRQWKHDUPV
of the holder must be positioned upwards in a proper installation.
2. Pull back the ends of the SSD holder and insert the SSD until the retaining pins on the holder
are inserted in the screw holes of the SSD.

3. Align the SATA SSD assembly with the SSD cage and slide it in until the assembly is fully seated
in the cage. The protruding locking tabs at the end of the holder arms sit in the corresponding
slots of the cage when properly installed.

4. Connect the cables from the SATA SSD assembly. See “Storage Cable Routing” on page 30.
5. Install the 2.5” SATA SSD assembly. See “Installing a 2.5” SATA SSD Assembly” on page 31.
Install the top cover on the server. See “Installing a Top Cover” on page 11.
