Assembly of Scaffold Tower 5’, 10’, 15’ and 20’ High
(Rolling or Stationary)
Check all scaold parts for damage, making sure that they are in proper working condition prior to
assembly and erection of scaold. Equipment that is damaged or is not in proper working condition
should not be used.
Attach (2) scaold frames with (2) cross braces.
Insert (4) casters or base plates into bottom of scaold frame legs, secure with locking pins or gravity
pins. When using leveling jacks (optional) rst insert caster or base plates into leveling jacks, secure
with locking pins or gravity pins, then insert leveling jacks into bottom of scaold frame legs. If using
casters be sure to set brakes to proceed.
When choosing casters for a rolling scaold tower, the installation of a squaring brace is needed and
applied diagonally at base of scaold frames. (On a 20’ Scaold Tower (2) squaring brace are needed
one at the base and one at 15’)
(4) Outriggers are needed for rolling towers 15’ and higher and stationary tower at the 20’ level.
Apply (3) scaold platforms along top horizontal of scaold frames.
Adding Tower Height — Add additional scaold frames by installing bottom of additional scaold
frames onto insert pins at the top of scaold frames erected in step #2 and secure with gravity locks.
Then apply (2) cross braces to additional scaold frames. Be sure to install scaold frames so that steps
continue above one another on the same side of frame. Move the scaold platforms to the newly
added frames and install as previous in step #6. With this step you are at a 10’ height, repeat this step
#7 to achieve maximum height of 20’.
After reaching desired height, install guard panel system. First install (2) 5’ end panels onto top of
scaold frames insert pins and secure with gravity locks. Then install (2) 7‘ side panels onto locks of
end panels.
When option for using Toe Boards, rst install 5’ End Toe Boards with brackets onto 5’ End Guard Panel
with U-Bolt provided. Then install 7’ Side Toe Boards into channel bracket provided on 5’ End Guard
Panel secured with Toggle Pins.
