Installation

Your FortiGate includes rack mount brackets and screws to mount in any

19 inch rack. You can also install your Fortigate as a Desktop device. Slide-

rail kits are also available.

Desktop Mount

Rack Mount

1. Place the unit on a ﬂat, clean and stable surface

2. Ensure there is at least 1.5in of clearance for adequate airﬂow

3. Plug the provided power cable into the rear of the unit and then into a grounded

electrical outlet or separate power source

1. Attach the provided rack-mount brackets and screws

2. Position the device and slide into the rack

3. Fasten the screws to secure the device

Note: To avoid personal injury or damage to the device, we recommended

that two or more people install the unit on a rack.

Caution: The recommended clearance is 1.5 inches above and below the device
