User Guide

There are two important rules when braking in emergencies with
ABS:
1. Apply full force on the brake pedal.
2. Steer around the obstacle. No matter how hard you brake, steering
control is maintained.
Pedal propulsion coupled with noise while breaking under panic
conditions or on loose gravel, bumps, wet or snowy roads is
normal and indicates proper functioning of the vehicle’s anti-lock brake
system.
Although the anti-lock braking system ensures optimum braking
efficiency, stopping distances can vary greatly, depending on the
road surface and conditions. Use of the anti-lock braking system
cannot eliminate the dangers inherent in driving too close to the
vehicle in front of you, aquaplaning, excessive cornering speed or poor
road surfaces.
Parking brake
Apply the parking brake whenever
the vehicle is parked. To set the
parking brake, pull the handle up.
