Anisotropic Interpolation
Standard MM fonts have the same interpolation values for both the X and
Y directions. In FontLab it is possible to define a different interpolation
weight for directions. With this you can make interesting form variations:
Standard (proportional) interpolation
Anisotropic interpolation
As with the extrapolation, this feature is not a part of the MM specification
and anisotropic interpolation (or extrapolation) will work only inside
FontLab. You can use it to generate single-master fonts from MM families.
