Eraser Tool
The eraser tool can be used to quickly remove nodes. Sometimes this is
necessary, for example, with contours from an auto-tracing program. The
eraser tool can work in two modes: like a standard eraser or as a rectangle
eraser. In the first mode, all nodes that are inside the rectangle of the
eraser mouse cursor are deleted. In the second mode, you define a
rectangle by clicking and dragging (as when you select nodes with the Edit
tool or change the zoom of a Glyph Window) and all the nodes inside the
rectangle are removed.
The first (eraser-like) mode is the default for the Erase tool. To switch to
the rectangle mode, hold down the
CTRL key.
