DOOR SURROUND INSTALLATION

Important Information:

Use only DegaBond

948 Adhesive (Part #33333)

and mechanical fasteners

(screws or nails) to install

the door surround.

Call your local dealer

with any questions.

Step 1. Determine Door Opening Size (X Dimension)

Measure the width of your door or door opening. Determine whether brickmold is

required. (Storm doors require brickmold.) See Figure 2.

Step 2. Determine Crosshead Width (A Dimension)

Measure the width of the pilaster and multiply x 2. Add the “X” dimension calculated

in Step 1. This is the length of the crosshead breastboard required.

If the provided crosshead is too long, cut it in half and trim from the center to the

appropriate length. (The keystone will cover the cut.)

If the provided crosshead is too short, you will need to order a second crosshead and

piece them together at the center. (The keystone will cover the cuts.)

Step 3. Install Pilaster, Crosshead and Keystone

Afﬁ x each piece to the wall using DegaBond 948 (Part #33333) Polyurethane

adhesive and mechanical fasteners (screws or nails).
