2. Insert the magazine spring, together with the follower into the
magazine body.
3. While holding the magazine spring in the magazine body, depress the
magazine spring with the magazine floor plate retainer and slide the
magazine floorplate onto the magazine body. The magazine floorplate
can only be slid back into position when the magazine floorplate
retainer is pushed far enough into the magazine body.
4. Ensure that the floor plate correctly locks into position.

ROUNDS AND/OR ONCE A YEAR BY A QUALIFIED GUNSMITH OR
THE FN PRODUCT SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE DAMAGE, WEAR
AND CORROSION ARE NOT ALWAYS VISIBLE FROM THE
OUTSIDE. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MILITARY PERSONNEL
SHOULD CONTACT THEIR DEPARTMENTAL ARMORER WHO
WILL INSPECT THE PISTOL ON A YEARLY BASIS.
