4. Place the cheekpiece back on the buttstock by aligning the stock adjustment studs with the inserts, as in
step 6 above.
5. Ensure the rifle is completely unloaded, on “safe” and pointed in a safe direction. Then, with an
installed sight or scope, shoulder the rifle to test the setting. Your eye should quickly and easily align
with the sights or scope with little effort. Cast adjustments are a matter of trial and error. Adjust a little at
a time until you have obtained the desired cast.
6. Once the proper cast is obtained, remove the cheekpiece, tighten the stock adjustment studs to the
mounting plate using the 3mm hex wrench. Do not over tighten. Record the studs’ locations in their
grooves for future reference.
7. Place the cheekpiece back on the buttstock by aligning the stock adjustment studs with the inserts. Once
in place, use the 3mm hex wrench to tighten down the cheekpiece locking screws on the right side of the
stock. Do not over tighten. The cheekpiece of your rifle should now be adjusted.
3. Front Sight Base/Rail
Warning
Before installing any sights, lasers or devices on the rifle, place the “safety” in the on safe position, remove the
magazine, open the action and ensure the chamber is empty. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in serious injury or death.
Do not mount any sight, laser, or other device which interferes with normal operation of the rifle or extends
beyond or in front of the muzzle. Ensure any sight or device attached to this rail is firmly mounted.
The FNAR™ Competition is equipped with an aluminum
MIL-STD 1913 pattern rail on the muzzle end of the barrel.
This front rail is aligned with the optical rail attached to the receiver.
When sights are attached to the front rail and the rear rail, a sight
radius of 17.5 to 26 inches is possible. The top of the rail is .945
inches from the centerline of the bore.
