4.3. Loading and cocking the carbine
It is assumed that the chamber is empty, that no magazine has been installed
on the carbine and that the carbine has not been cocked.
Set the fire selector at the position ‘S’ (safe).
Install a loaded magazine onto the carbine.
In order to ensure that the magazine correctly locks into position, push
firmly on its rear part (check if the magazine is correctly locked into
position by pulling it upwards).
Pull the cocking handle completely rearward and then release
it.
Don’t ‘ride’ the cocking handle forward, but let it ‘slam’ forward.
This causes the hammer to be cocked and the first cartridge to be
loaded into the chamber.
