Fire selector
The operation of the FN PS90
®
Carbine depends on the setting of
the fire selector.
The fire selector can be set at one of the following 2 positions :
The position ‘S’ (safe)
When the fire selector is at this position, it is impossible to
operate the trigger.
The position ‘S’ should be selected in one of the following cases :
- When the FN PS90
®
Carbine is not operational
- When preparing the FN PS90
®
Carbine for operation
- When shooting is not imminent
The position ‘1’ (single-shot) : ‘semi-automatic firing mode’
When in this mode, the FN PS90
®
Carbine fires
semi-automatically : on the condition that the carbine has
been loaded and cocked as described in § 4.3, one round will
be fired for each trigger pull.
Variants
The FN PS90
®
Carbine is available in various variants.
In order to keep this owner’s manual flexible and generic, it only
describes the FN PS90
®
model with upper rail which can therefore
be considered as the ‘standard’ FN PS90
®
model.
If more information is required by a specific variant, separate
instructions will be provided in the shipping box of the carbine.
If your FN PS90
®
Carbine is a variant provided with a
specific sight, the adjustment, zeroing and use of the sight
are covered in a separate sight instruction card included in
the shipping box of the carbine.
