3. Use a plastic bristled brush and a military-grade cleaner/lubricant to remove dirt and debris from the locking
mechanism on the mounting block. See Figure 8. Excess lubricant should be wiped away from moving parts as it
may attract dirt and grit.
4. Use minimal military-grade lubricant on the moving parts of the buttstock assembly. The frame rods should be
kept free of lubricant. For adverse conditions, lubricate in accordance with Section 25.10 of the Operator’s
Manual.
