To extend the PARA buttstock assembly if it is in the stowed position:
1. Grab the buttstock frame at the buttplate and pull it firmly and fully the rear. See Figure 5.
2. Once extended, rotate the buttstock frame clockwise 90 degrees (as viewed from behind the rifle) and into the
vertical position. It will lock into the deployed position on its own. See Figure 6.

3.2 Maintenance of the PARA Buttstock Assembly
Maintenance and cleaning of the PARA buttstock assembly is simple but necessary from time to time to keep the
moving parts free of dirt, debris and moving freely.
1. Remove the PARA buttstock assembly as explained in Section 25.8 of the Operator’s Manual.
2. Use a plastic bristled brush and a military-grade cleaner/lubricant to remove dirt and debris from the frame rods.
See Figure 7. Excess lubricant should be wiped away from moving parts as it may attract dirt and grit.
