Taking into account that the magazine bottom plate is subject to
the force of the magazine follower spring, slide the bottom plate
off the magazine body and then carefully release the pressure on
the follower spring.
❖
Take the magazine follower assembly out of the magazine body.
This level of disassembly is sufficient to perform thorough
cleaning : further disassembly should only be carried out by an
authorized armorer or by FN HERSTAL or FN AMERICA, LLC .
To reassemble the magazine, follow the above steps in reverse order,
taking into account the following points :

Ensure that the components of the magazine are perfectly clean.
Î
Ensure that the magazine follower assembly is correctly oriented.
Î
The magazine bottom plate can only be slid back into position
when the magazine follower spring is compressed and held flush
with the edge of the magazine body.
Î
Ensure that the magazine bottom plate correctly locks into
position.
