allow you to estimate the number of
cartridges present in the magazine
(Figure 7).
CAUTION: DO NOT TRY TO
FORCE MORE THAN THE
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF
ROUNDS INDICATED FOR YOUR
PARTICULAR MAGAZINE INTO
THE MAGAZINE. ATTEMPTING TO OVERLOAD THE MAGAZINE
CAN DAMAGE IT CAUSING THE PISTOL TO MALFUNCTION.
6.2 LOADING THE PISTOL
WHEN LOADING YOUR PISTOL, ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE
POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS
AWAY FROM THE TRIGGER. ALWAYS CLOSE THE SLIDE BEFORE
INSERTING A LOADED MAGAZINE IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO
IMMEDIATELY CHAMBER A CARTRIDGE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW
THESE WARNINGS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH.
1. Before loading, ensure that the
chamber of the pistol is empty
and the pistol does not contain a
magazine. Close the slide if you
do not wish to immediately
chamber a cartridge (Figure 8).
