Updating with Another Tester
You can update a tester’s software using another tester
that is already updated.
1 Connect an updated tester or smart remote to a tester
or smart remote that needs updating, as shown in
Figure 14-3 or 14-4.
Note
One of the units must be a main tester.
2 Turn on both units; then press Pon either.
3 The testers compare software versions. If one has more
recent software, the main tester prompts you about
updating the older software.
4 Press K OK to start the update process.
5 To verify the update, turn the rotary switch to SPECIAL
FUNCTIONS; then select Version Information.
