MAINTENANCE StepTen
After final installation of the pressure transmitter and its companion receiver, no routine maintenance is
required.A periodic check of system calibration is suggested.The pressure transmitters are not field
repairable and should be returned if repair is needed (field repair should not be attempted and may void
warranty).Besuretoincludea briefdescriptionoftheproblemplusanyrelevantapplicationnotes.Contact
customerservicetoreceiveareturngoodsauthorizationnumberbeforeshipping.
Maintenanceshouldconsistofinspectiontosee thatthetransmitterisfreefromdebrisandnotcoatedwith
anysubstance,whichwouldpreventliquidfromfreelyenteringandleavingthetransmitter.Ifthisoccurs,the
transmittershouldbecleaned.
Testingthetransmitter:
First,verifythatthesensoriswiredcorrectly.
Next,checkifthepowersupplyisprovidingtherequiredpower.
Finallyconfirmthattheloopresistanceisnotexceedingthesensor’sspecification.
If transmitter is not functioning properly, isolate the transmitter from the system andwire as shown below.
Besuretoremovethesensorfromtheclassifiedareawhenperformingthistest.Multimetershouldread4
mAwiththetransmitteroutofliquid.
