The LC30 Series may be used with any Flowline flow switch with an Nchannel (ends in _ _ _ 2”) or relay
(ends in _ _ _ 5”) output.The relay is a single pole, double throw type; the controlled device can be
connectedtoeitherthenormallyopenornormallyclosedsideoftherelay.Atimedelay from0to60seconds
canbe set before the relayrespondstothe sensor input.Typical applications forthe LC30 Series are pump
protection,noflowindicationorchemicalinjection.
GuidetoControls:Belowisalistingandthelocationofthedifferentcomponentsforthecontroller:
StandardVersion(NonCE) CEVersion(LC3010_1CE/LC3010_1ECE)
1. Powerindicator:ThisgreenLEDlightswhenACpowerisON.
2. Relay indicator:This red LED will light whenever the controller energizes the relay, in response to the
properconditionatthesensorinputandafterthetimedelay.
3. ACPowerterminals:Connectionof120VACpowertothecontroller.Thesettingmaybechangedto240
VAC if desired.This requires changing internal jumpers; this is covered in the Installation section of the
manual.Polarity(neutralandhot)doesnotmatter.
4. Relay terminals (NC, C, NO):Connect the device you wish to control (pump, alarm etc.) to these
terminals:supplytotheCOMterminal,andthedevicetotheNOorNCterminalasrequired.Theswitched
deviceshouldbea non inductive
loadof not more than16amps;forreactiveloadsthe currentmustbe
deratedorprotectioncircuitsused.WhentheredLEDisONandtherelayisintheenergizedstate,theNO
terminalwillbeclosedandtheNCterminalwillbeopen.
5. Invert switch:This DIP switch reverses the logic of the relay control in response to the sensor(s):
conditionsthatusedtoenergizetherelaywillmakeitturnoffandviceversa.
6. TimeDelay:Aftertheinput(s)change(s)state,thiscontrolsetsadelayfrom0.15to60secondsbeforethe
relaywillrespond.
7. Input1Aindicator:TheseamberLEDwilllightimmediatelywhenevertheappropriatesensorattachedto
the terminals detects noflow, and will turn off when it detects flow.This polarity can be reversed by
changeoftheswitchespolarity.
8. Inputterminals:Connect the wiring from the sensors to these terminals: Note the polarity: (+) is a 24
VDC, 100 mA power supply (to be connected to the red wire of a Flowline sensor), and () is the return
pathfromthesensor(tobeconnectedtotheblackwireofaFlowlinesensor).(S)istherelay
signalinput
tobeconnectedtothewhitewire.Theremaininggreenwirewillreturntothe()terminal.Ifpolarityis
reversed,thesensorswillnotwork.
