T-Molding:
When installing T-Moldings, an expansion space of 1/4” is required between the installed
flooring and the center of the stem of the T. To attach the T-Molding between a ceramic
tile and wood floor, apply construction adhesive to the top edge of the ceramic tile. To
attach between two wood floors apply adhesive to the top edge of one side of the wood
floor only. Set the molding in place for a minimum of 1/4” overlap on the wood flooring. To
nail down, pre-drill T-Molding and face nail this transition through the stem of the T. Set
the nail heads below the surface and fill with wood putty. Usually you will need 1 ¼”
between the two surfaces so that your T-molding will overlap on each surface.
