FEATURES

PENETROL is a free-flowing, low-odor, high quality penetrating

oil-based paint additive which compensates for the adverse

effects that weather and surface conditions have on paints and

primers. Use in oil or alkyd-based paints, varnishes and primers.

May also be used to condition metal and faded, weathered fiber-

glass surfaces.

VOLUME SOLIDS: 30% +/- 2%

WEIGHT SOLIDS: 36% +/- 2%

WEIGHT/GALLON: 7.2 lbs. (3.3 kg) +/- 0.2 lbs. (91 g)

COVERAGE: Varies depending on use.

DRYING TIME: Allow 12-24 hours dry if used on bare metal when

applied in optimal temperatures of 50°F (10°C) to 85°F (29°C). When

added to paint, may increase the dry time of the paint. High humidity or

temperatures below 50°F (10°C) may prolong drying and recoating

times.

CLEANUP: Clean brushes and tools with mineral spirits. DANGER –

RAGS, STEEL WOOL OR WASTE SOAKED WITH FLOOD PEN-

ETROL MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF IMPROPERLY

DISCARDED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE, PLACE RAGS,

STEEL WOOL OR WASTE IN A SEALED WATER-FILLED METAL

CONTAINER.

DISPOSAL: Contact your local environmental regulatory agency for

guidance on disposal of unused product. Do not pour down a drain or

storm sewer.

Material: 50 to 90ºF (10 to 32ºC)

Ambient: 50 to 90ºF (10 to 32ºC)

Substrate: 50 to 90ºF (10 to 32ºC)

FLASH POINT: 108ºF (42ºC)

FLOOD FLD4 FLOOD PENETROL Oil-Based Paint Additive DIRECTIONS FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR USE Always mix a small amount of PENETROL with the paint you are using to determine compatibility. Adding to Oil or Alkyd-Based Paint or Primers: Stir and mix oil or alkyd-based paint thoroughly. As paint begins to set up too fast or “drag”, stir in PENETROL. Start with approximately one pint (473 mL) PENETROL per gallon (3.78 Liters) of paint.
