IMPORTANT: If sealing your primary entry/exit, all persons, pets, and essential belongings
must be removed from premises. You will not be able to re-enter without breaking the seal.
NOTE: If your French Door has multiple panes, each pane will have to be sealed individually.
STEP #1 – APPLY FLOOD PROTECTION PASTE IN A CARTRIDGE
1. Areas must be clean, dry, free of grease, oil, dirt, and debris.

2. Apply Flood Paste (cartridge) directly into the gap between the threshold and the bottom of the doors,
between the doors, around the lock sets or door handles, and all seams. Also where single panes of
glass meet the door and/or where multiple panes meet the mullions.

3. Use gloved nger or Flex Gap Filler tool to push Flood Paste into seams and smooth out.

4. Apply Flood Paste along the front, bottom, sides, and corners of the threshold, including screw holes.
Push the Flood Paste in and smooth it out with gloved nger or Flex Gap Filler tool.

5. Apply Flood Paste along where the doorframe meets the casing as well as where the casing meets the
exterior wall. Push the Flood Paste in and smooth it out with a gloved nger or Flex Gap Filler tool.

6. Cut a small square of Flood TAPE, peel the backing, and place over keyhole, pressing rmly.
Next, completely cover with Flood Paste and smooth out with gloved nger or other tool.

7. Let dry to the touch (2-6 hours*). Inspect for any openings that may have been missed. If needed,
apply additional coats with each coat being wider and overlapping previous layers.
STEP #2 – APPLY FLOOD PROTECTION TAPE
1. Cut the Flood Tape to size. Remove the backing only a few inches and press the exposed adhesive
side to the top of the area being sealed. Continue to pull o the backing, pressing the Flood Tape
rmly with a gloved hand or squeegee to smooth out any creases or wrinkles. Do not apply Flood Tape
around corners, contoured surfaces, or irregular shapes, as they can create air pockets and allow
water to enter.

STEP #3 – APPLY FLOOD PROTECTION PASTE IN A SLEEVE
1. Using a putty knife, remove the Flood Paste from provided tray and apply an even coat on top of the
Flood Tape, covering the edges (excluding keyhole) with each coat being wider and overlapping the
previous one.

STEP #4 – APPLY FLOOD PROTECTION LIQUID
1.
Brush a generous amount of Flood Liquid on top of the Flood Paste (excluding keyhole). This will
help
seal small openings or pinholes that may have been missed. L
et dry to the touch (3-6 hours*).

2. Apply additional coats if needed, with each coat being wider and overlapping the previous coats. Let
each coat dry to the touch before applying the next coat.

Flood Paste in a Cartridge is the base coat for your rst layer of protection. Use a gloved nger, Flex
Gap Filler tool, or similar tool to push into all seams and openings to help create a watertight seal.
Always be cautious of any sharp object that may cause injury.
