UL TESTING RESULTS The Flex Seal Family of Flood Protection Products has been evaluated by UL Solutions and meets applicable verification requirements for stopping water intrusion for the specified gap widths and water depths as described below. These tests were performed in an UL Solutions laboratory using manufacturer’s recommended application instructions. PASTE Seal (liquid No water penetration through 1/2” gaps at depths up to 3 feet, for 14 days.
DRY TIMES & COVERAGE DRY TIMES Dry times for all Flood Protection products (excluding Flood Tape) depend on temperature and humidity. For example, if it’s cold outside, our products will take longer to dry than in warmer climates. Dry time is also impacted by the thickness of coats applied. For this reason, we always recommend that you use smooth, even coats — not too thick or too thin. DRY TIME VS.

Use a gloved finger, Flex Gap Filler tool, or similar tool to push into all seams and openings to help create a watertight seal.
1 2 Clean area to be sealed. 4 3 Inspect for holes and gaps, then fill with Paste. 5 Apply Paste where casing meets wall. 7 Brush Liquid on top of dry Paste. Apply Paste to window seams. 6 Use a gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool to push Paste into all seams and smooth out. 8 Apply additional overlapping coats of Paste. 9 Allow Liquid to dry. Apply additional overlapping coats of Liquid.

1 2 Apply Paste between threshold and bottom of door. 4 Apply Paste where doorframe meets casing and casing meets wall. 7 Cut a small square of Tape. 10 Apply Paste between door and the door frame (left & right). Apply Paste along front and corners of threshold. 5 6 Use gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool to push Paste into all seams/screw holes. Smooth out. Use Paste to seal where lock set/ door handle meets door. 8 9 Place Tape over keyhole to seal it.

1 2 Clean area to be sealed. 4 3 Apply Paste to all areas indicated in yellow. 5 Apply Paste along front and corners of threshold. Push Paste into seams with gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool. 6 Apply Paste where doorframe meets casing and casing meets wall. Place Tape over keyhole to seal it. 7 8 9 Completely cover tape with Paste and smooth out with gloved finger or other tool. Cut Tape and apply to smooth surfaces separated by a seam.

Push Paste into seams with gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool. Apply additional coats of Paste over dried Paste layers. 8 9 Brush Liquid on top of all previous coats of product. Apply additional coats of Liquid over all dried layers.

1 2 3 Apply Paste between garage door bottom and foundation. Apply Paste to garage door sides. Apply Paste to sectional garage door seams. 4 5 6 Use a gloved finger or our Flex Gap Filler tool to push Paste into all seams and smooth out. 7 Cut Tape into 2-ft sections. 8 Seal door to foundation with Tape, pushing fold into seam. 10 Once dry, brush Liquid on top of all previous applications. Apply Paste to all Tape edges. 11 Apply Liquid around door handle and lock.

1 2 Cut Tape to fit opening. 4 Completely cover Tape with Paste and spread with gloved finger. 3 Remove Tape backing and apply to opening. 5 Smooth Tape with finger. 6 Apply Paste where duct meets the wall. Push paste into seams with gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool. 7 8 9 Apply additional coats of Paste. Apply a thin coat of Spray on top of Paste. Apply additional coats of Spray.

1 Clean area to be sealed. 4 Apply additional overlapping layers of Paste, if needed. 7 2 3 Apply Paste between the conduit and the wall. Push Paste in deep and smooth out with gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool. 5 6 Cover valve with towel to protect valve from overspray. 8 Let dry and inspect for holes. If needed, apply wider coats to overlap previous ones. Apply Spray on top of Paste. 9 Allow to cure (24-48 hours*).

1 2 Clean area to be sealed. 4 3 Measure outlet face. (Exposed outlet only.) 5 Apply Tape to outlet face. (Exposed outlet only.) 7 10 Completely coat outlet and/or cover with Paste. 11 Apply Liquid over Paste with brush. 6 Smooth tape with gloved finger or other tool. (Exposed outlet only.) 8 Push paste into seams with gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool. Cut a piece of Tape to fit outlet face. (Exposed outlet only.) Make sure coats of Liquid overlap Paste layers.
HOW TO SEAL FOUNDATION CRACKS & HOLES Go to: flexsealproducts.com/flood for complete video instructions. TOOLS REQUIRED: • Putty knife • Paint brush • Protective gloves & eyewear PRODUCTS REQUIRED: • Flex Paste® Flood Protection (individually wrapped sleeves) • Flex Seal Liquid® Flood Protection Flood Paste in a Cartridge is the base coat for your first layer of protection. Use a gloved finger, Flex Gap Filler tool, or similar tool to push into all seams and openings to help create a watertight seal.
1 2 Clean area to be sealed. 4 3 Open sleeve and squeeze Paste into tray. 5 Apply Paste to crack and surrounding wall. 7 6 Let dry to touch (2-6 hours*). 8 Brush Liquid on top of final coats of Paste. Remove even layer of Paste from tray. Apply additional overlapping coats of Paste, if needed. 9 Let dry to touch (3-6 hours*). Apply additional overlapping coats of Liquid, if needed.
HOW TO SEAL CRAWL SPACES, BASEMENT WINDOWS & PET DOORS Go to: flexsealproducts.com/flood for complete video instructions. TOOLS REQUIRED: • Putty knife • Saw • Paint brush • Plywood • Tape measure • Protective gloves & eyewear PRODUCTS REQUIRED: • Flex Paste® Flood Protection (individually wrapped sleeves) • Flex Seal® Liquid Flood Protection Flood Paste in a Cartridge is the base coat for your first layer of protection.
1 2 Clean area to be sealed. 4 3 Measure the opening. 5 Remove an even amount of Paste from tray. 6 Apply Paste generously around opening. 7 8 Paste should squeeze out between the plywood and wall. Hold or brace plywood in place a few minutes. 10 Apply additional overlapping coats of Paste, if needed. Cut a piece of plywood larger than opening. Press plywood in place over opening. 9 11 Use gloved finger or Flex Gap Filler tool to push Paste into seams and smooth out.
REMOVAL & STORAGE REMOVING FROM SURFACES All of our Flood Protection products have been designed to be easily removed. | ALL PRODUCTS 1. Starting at a corner, use your thumb or a cloth to peel the product until there is enough to grab and pull away from surface using your hands. 2. If it doesn’t remove in one piece, restart the process on another section. 3. Any remaining residue can be cleaned using a paper towel or rag with denatured alcohol. | SMALL & HARD-TO-REACH AREAS 1.
