Methods and material for
containment and cleaning
up:
Absorb spill with vermiculite or other inert material, then place in a container
for chemical waste. Dike far ahead of larger spill for later recovery and
disposal.
Notification Procedures:
ELIMINATE all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in
immediate area). Stop leak if you can do so without risk. Dike for later
disposal. Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements or confined
areas. Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk.
Environmental Precautions:
Avoid release to the environment. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe
to do so. Do not contaminate water sources or sewer.
7. Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition
sources. No smoking. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition
source. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not handle until all safety
precautions have been read and understood. Obtain special instructions
before use. Use personal protective equipment as required. Avoid contact
with skin. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Conditions for safe storage,
including any
incompatibilities:
Store locked up. Pressurized container: protect from sunlight and do not
expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Do not pierce or burn, even after
use. Aerosol Level 3
